Happy International Women's Day/Racism at a MTA Station

This post is way overdue, but better late than never? I was waiting for the train to go home with one of my co workers on a late weeknight. We spent our night with a few of our co workers celebrating International Women's Day. What a great night to be surrounded by successful ambitious women. As we wait for the train, an older white male around his 40s started cursing and using foul language at us as he walked away. He yelled the words "Stupid Chinese people. Stupid Chinese girls. I hate Chinese people". I've never faced such verbal abuse in reality. I've read about it on the news, I've seen shared social media posts of racism everyday in America but I have never firsthand experienced it. I felt aggrieved and didn't know how to respond. He stopped his movements a few feet away from us and stared us and then continued to scream racial slurs. That was when I spoke up, I didn't curse of anger or hate to him. BYE Jury Duty

Sadly, I've been summoned for jury duty yesterday. if you havent been to jury duty yet, well i'll tell you.. its just as bad as everyone exaggerates it to be. When you arrive, you scan all your items to metal dector, the security guards are wonderfully sweet people. Then you sit in a large room, wait for an hour, then this "senior" administrative person talks for a whole hour explaining the process, trying to be funny when he was not but rather rude . Basically i sat through the WHOLE day, 9am-3:30pm, until i was called. I was then entered in a small room, and the attorneys explained the case. I had a not so fun case, it was a civil case (A lady in the bathroom told me she was in a really cool murder case!!). We didnt finish in time (it was already 4:30pm), since we didnt finish in time, we were told to return back the next day at 10am.. I returned back the next day (today), again sat uncomfortably for the next hour or so and listened about the case. Luckily I wasnt

THE LAW OF ATTRACTION BABYY!! remember i posted a couple weeks ago that i am waiting on a couple more secrets and upholdings? Well i got it!! I landed Yelp's Summer 2015 Marketing Internship!! I am so excited to start a new chapter in my life especially living in New York City! During my interview, I was super nervous(as usual) and was told I was the only non-marketing major to apply for the position. That diminished my hopes a little, but the Law of attraction proved to be right. YOU have to believe it, believe it that you can do whatever you want in life, succeed in whatever you wish, work hard and eventually it will come to you. You gotta believe, keep pursing, stay positive , and good things will attract you. Summer 2015, I am blessed to be given the opportunity to work for Columbia University and Yelp.
