Last Official Week of 2014

Starting the week off right, wine and dinner with the girls. We went to Go,Go,Thai (Chelsea, New York). I was more in the mood for a mixed drink, maybe a lychee mojito but they only offered Sake and wine. After our dinner, craving something cheesy we decided to head to Artichoke Pizza (Gramecy, New York). Just our luck, i bumped into an old co-worker who now works at the pizzeria. He kept the dinning area opened for us only and also gave us a pie on the house! Thanks a lot Larry! That defintiely made our night.

Forwarding on to a Christmas Eve. I grabbed brunch at Cafe Orlin (St. Marks, New York) with my two best friends, Vivian and Winnie, Cafe Orlin wasn't as great as i expected. Cafe Orlin is known for the Eggs Benedict and the Pumpkin Pancakes with cinnamon butter. Unfortunely they didnt serve the infamous Eggs Benedict that day but they did serve the pancakes. The Pancakes were good... at most. Very moist and there was not enough cinannom butter, when i asked for extra butter, i was given regular cold butter.

Continuing on with dessert, we went to Snowdays Shavery (East Village, New York). Abosolutely love that place! Great customer service and the snow ice cream!! When handed to us, the dessert texture is like frozen snow! They have lots of tasty flavors from Green Tea, to Orea (the Yetti) to their secret flavors, Strawberry and Chocolate! Each of us got our own cup, a regular. I reccommend sharing with someone, none of us were able to finish our cup. Nonetheless, still is a great way to end a date or hang out!

Adding a little NYC night out excitement to this week, I headed to Turtle Bay (Midtown, New York) and met up with Winnie and Sophie. It was a fun night due to the extra little drinks, i forgot how expensive NYC drinks can get! Luckily, we all had a friend who won this Happy Hour raffle and drinks were half off for us. If we didn't get the half off, drinks ranged from 10$-15$, expensive!! Bar night was fun and all, but what made our night was meeting people outside the bar. We met these two foreign students and another student on our way back to Brooklyn. It was great meeting people outside our circle and actually having a meaningful connection than screaming into someone's ear and bumping into sweaty arms everywhere.

To end the last official week of 2014, I went to the dog park with Sammy. If anyone is ever in a great deal of stress, i recommend reading or even just sitting at a dog park. Its a great peaceful place to get your thoughts running, and also see beautiful dogs running around!

The last days of 2014 are coming, I hope everyone is ending the year well.
